摘　　要：本文系统地评估了中国摩天大楼数量扩张对城市经济增长的影响。研究发现:摩天大楼数量的扩张对城市增长并不产生显著的短期和长期影响,且仅对其附近1公里左右范围内的经济增长产生影响。究其原因,在于在中国的制度背景下,摩天大楼的建造可能更多的是地方政府竞争的工具以及政府的"面子工程",其建设往往与城市自身的经济基础相违背,从而会削弱摩天大楼的集聚正外部性。本文的政策启示是:城市摩天大楼的建设要与其经济发展和产业支撑水平相适应,应避免对形象工程以及摩天大楼数量的刻意追求,这才能保证城市经济的健康、有序发展。This paper systematically assesses the impact of the expansion of the number of skyscrapers on urban economic growth in China.We find the expansion of the number of skyscrapers does not have a significant short-and long-term impact on urban growth and only affects economic growth within about 1 km of its vicinity.The reason for this is that in the Chinese institutional context,skyscraper construction may be more of a competitive tool for local governments and a"image project"for the government,and its construction often runs counter to the city’s own economic base,thus weakening the positive externalities of skyscraper agglomeration.The policy implication of this paper is that the construction of urban skyscrapers should be adapted to its level of economic development and industrial support,and the deliberate pursuit of image projects and the number of skyscrapers should be avoided in order to ensure the healthy and orderly development of urban economy.
