租界、治外法权与1930年代中国左翼文化运动的国际性——以《中国论坛》与“伊罗生事件”为中心

摘　　要：美国左翼记者伊罗生1930年代在上海创办的《中国论坛》的出版发行和随后发生的“伊罗生事件”的解决,前者依靠租界的活动空间,后者有赖于治外法权的效力。租界提供了容纳编辑人员进行地下工作的空间,治外法权则给予了主编切身的保护,以刊物为阵地、以主编为纽带,中共地下党人、美国记者伊罗生和各界在华左翼人士三方实现了有效的“跨国合作”。考察《中国论坛》在租界的持续运作与治外法权在“伊罗生事件”中起到的作用,可以为深入理解中国左翼文化运动之“国际性”特质提供一个颇具典型意义的实例。American Left-wing journalist Harold R.Isaacs launched China Forum in Shanghai in the 1930s,its publishing depended on the operation platform of the concession,and the consequent“Isaacs Affair”was solved by the extraterritoriality system.The concession provided the underground activity space for the editorial staff;the extraterritoriality guaranteed the physical safety of the chief editor,so that the underground communists,left-wing cultural figures and Isaacs himself achieved an effective transnational cooperation through China Forum,which showed the distinct internationality of Chinese Left-wing Cultural Movement in the 1930s.This individual case and its significance can be comprehended by exploring the successful operation of China Forum in the concession and the legal efficacy of extraterritoriality in the“Isaacs Affair”.
