摘 要:软硬件协同的异构网关通过将高性能可编程交换机与传统软件功能平台相结合,兼具硬件网关高吞吐量和软件网关高储存容量的优势。但现有软硬件协同网关缺少有效的流表更新机制,网关性能随网络流量的变化而不断下降。为此,引入网络流量测量方法,周期性检测当前网络中的重流,并在数据平面中实现对应流表项软件和硬件间的定向迁移,将绝大多数的重流卸载到可编程交换机上,以提升软硬件网关效能。仿真实验结果表明,提出的流表迁移更新机制使软硬件协同网关始终维持高吞吐量,同时有效减少网络流量变化造成的网关性能抖动。The heterogeneous gateway with software and hardware coordination combines the high-performance programmable switch with the traditional software function platform,and at the same time has the advantages of the high throughput of the hardware gateway and the high storage capacity of the software gateway.The existing software and hardware gateways lack an effective flow table update mechanism,and the performance of the gateway continues to decline with changes in network traffic.For this reason,the network traffic measurement method is introduced to periodically detect the heavy-hitters in the current network,and realize the directional migration between the software and hardware of the corresponding flow entry in the data plane,and offload most of the heavy flow to the programmable switch to improve the performance of software and hardware gateways.The simulation experiment results show that the proposed flow table migration update mechanism enables the software and hardware cooperative gateway to always maintain high throughput,while effectively reducing the gateway performance jitter caused by network traffic changes.
