从中医典籍外译乱象看中国传统文化翻译的策略重建——以《黄帝内经》书名翻译为例

摘　　要：中医与中华文化是一体的,中医典籍是中国传统文化的瑰宝和代表之一,是中国传统文化“走出去”的“重头戏”。本文通过梳理中医典籍外译概况,考察《黄帝内经》书名翻译具体情况,提出应根据中国传统文化的特质整合既有的中医典籍翻译方法,以推出行之有效的可以验证的中国传统文化翻译方法论体系和翻译标准体系,宏观上以“异化”翻译策略为主,其他各种翻译方法为辅,微观上可以采用编码文化内涵且符合构词法的符形替换法、移植借用法、编码重构法等。Chinese culture is an organic whole.It was born through repeated observations of nature and human society,with scientific processes of embodied cognition,analogy,and classification.However,the Chinese culture has rarely been labeled as a scientific one in translation and international communication,inadvertently covered by modern Western concepts,resulting in westerners’lack of understanding of the profound scientific background and wisdom of Chinese traditional culture.One of the most obviously misunderstood and weakened Chinese cultures is traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Based on the overview of the translation of TCM classics,this paper takes the translations of the title of Huangdi Neijing as a peephole to discuss the reconstruction of the translation strategy of traditional Chinese culture.In the nearly 400 years since the spread of TCM to the West,many scholars have contributed to various translation schemes,and now,TCM translation has entered a blooming stage.However,the chronic problems in TCM translation are becoming more and more obvious.Among them,there are three major problems:(1)The existing translation of TCM is based on western thinking and western medicine theory,ignoring the deep connotations of TCM and even Chinese culture;(2)The development of TCM translation lacks theoretical guidance and is difficult to establish unified standards;(3)With the increased awareness of preserving the cultural characteristics of TCM,strategies like transliteration and literal translation are prevalent,but easily result in rigid textual production.These problems are exposed in the translation of the title of Huangdi Neijing.TCM translation calls for interdisciplinary talents who understand both TCM and thelaws of translation to devote their energy to the cultural translation of TCM.Building a unified terminology standard and reconstructing the translation strategy may gradually end the chaos of Chinese TCM culture translation.In the early stage of the spread of TCM to the West,most translators adopted the domes
