摘 要:该书作者力求展现瞿秋白生命体验中多重复杂的思想世界,试图回答瞿秋白如何跨越种种二元对立的界限,把来自各种不同文化脉络的思想资源,创造性地转化成崭新的思想和书写轨迹。瞿秋白纵然认为自己终究不能彻底摆脱"文人和绅士意识",无法成为无产阶级战士,他却始终没有背离心中那个无产阶级的理想。作为一位有诗情画意有哲思的人,瞿秋白天然向往美丽与自由,鄙视统治者的丑恶与专断。瞿秋白倡导"革命工具论",革命者应该放弃个人自由,成为革命运动的工具;然而革命者参加革命的最终目的,是为了实现自身的自由愿望。这是一个一时无法化解的两难公式。瞿秋白短暂的一生,都处在这种矛盾焦躁状态。作者据实说理,言而有据,持之以故,事实与评论的良好契合,哲学与史学的互相会通,正是此书的可取之处。The author of Qu Qiubai and Transcultural Modernity seeks to show the multiple and complex ideological world of Qu Qiubai,and answer how Qu Qiubai crossed the boundary of various dualistic oppositions and creatively transformed the ideological resources from various cultural contexts into brand-new thoughts and writing tracks.Although Qu Qiubai thought he could not completely get rid of the consciousness of literati and gentleman,and become aproletarian soldier,he had never deviated from the proletarian ideal in his heart.As a poetic and philosophic person,Qu Qiubai yearned for beauty and freedom,and despised ugliness and arbitrariness.He advocated the tool theory of revolution,which proposed that revolutionaries should give up personal freedom and become tools of revolutionary movement.However,the ultimate goal of revolutionaries to participate in the revolution was to realize their own desire for freedom.It was a dilemma that could not be resolved for the time being.Qu Qiubai’s short life was stuck in this state of contradiction and anxiety.It is the merit of this book that the author argues on the basis of facts,and holds on to the facts.Besides,the harmonious combination of facts and comments,and the interaction of philosophy and historiography are also the merits of this book.
