Objective:To compare the effects of acarbose and metformin in the treatment of diabetes patients in the community. Methods:From October 2019 to October 2020,100 patients with diabetes in the community were selected, they were randomly divided into the two groups. The control group was treated with metformin. The observation group was treated with acarbose. We compared the treatment effects of the two groups of patients. Results:The fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin level of the observation group after treatment were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the total cholesterol and triglyceride levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:After community diabetic patients received acarbose and metformin, their blood sugar levels and blood lipid levels improved, but the effects of acarbose are more significant.
