Severe patients in ICU ward are the key objects of clinical nursing.Because these patients are often in a strong state of stress, sedation and analgesia treatment are more needed to alleviate the patients’physical discomfort symptoms and mental anxiety, depression and other emotions. In recent years, the importance of analgesia and sedation management in ICU ward has been continuously improved. In the process of wide application and practice,in view of its obvious application effect,it has been widely recognized by clinical relevant personnel and patients.Taking the significance of nurse led analgesia and sedation management for critically ill patients as the starting point, this paper lists and expounds the contents of analgesia and sedation management participated by nurses from many aspects, including music therapy, daily wake-up therapy and cluster analgesia and sedation nursing. In the process of discussing different sedation and analgesia management contents, this paper summarizes its advantages and points out the existing shortcomings, hoping to further improve the sedation and analgesia management level of critically ill patients led by nurses, build a better management system and provide better services for patients.
