生态翻译学的“虚指”研究与“实指”研究

摘　　要：生态翻译学研究中的所谓"虚指",亦称"借喻"或"喻指",是通过隐喻类比将生态学的理念和原理影射到翻译学领域中的研究。文章指出,以往的生态翻译学研究绝大部分具有喻指特征的研究取向,主要是借用生态学原理解读翻译现象、类比翻译生态为自然生态以及投射生态理念于译论构建之中。而生态翻译学研究中的所谓"实指",即关于自然生态作品和特定绿色主题的翻译行为和翻译研究;也包括生态翻译与生态语言、生态文学、生态批评等"他者"关于生态视角的贯通研究。具体包括:选择自然生态素材、翻译自然生态内容;发掘文本生态意义、揭示作者(及展现译者)生态思想;践行生态理念、关注生态环境;贯通"他者"的生态研究、促进生态文明建设的翻译实践、语言文化多样性的翻译发展等等。生态翻译学中的"实指"研究,既是生态翻译学研究中不可或缺的重要内容,又是完善和提升生态翻译学理论话语体系适用性和可解释性的一项重要发展。文章指出,"虚指"和"实指"是生态翻译学研究的"一体两面",两个研究取向并行不悖、互促共进,合力践行"译有所为"。This paper discusses the two research orientations of metaphorical reference and literal reference studies in EcoTranslatology. Metaphorical reference studies here mean the analogical research of applying ecological concepts and principles to the field of translation studies. Most of the previous eco-translatological studies are featured metaphorical reference, mainly conducted by borrowing ecological principles to interpret translation phenomena, analogizing translation ecosystem to natural ecosystem, and projecting ecological concepts to the construction of translation theory studies, etc. Literal reference studies here mean the in-the-true-sense research of ecological actions and ideas in translating natural, green and ecological subjects, covering the interactive studies between eco-translation and ecolinguistics, eco-literature, eco-poetics and eco-critics, etc. Included in the literal reference studies are the discovery and dissemination of ecological ideas, ecological connotations, ecological meanings from the author(s), the translator(s), and the text(s). The realization of language variation and cultural diversity, the awareness of environmental protection and promotion of the development of eco-civilization and the like are also regarded indispensable in the literal reference studies. It is pointed out that the two research orientations of metaphorical reference and literal reference studies in Eco-Translatology, just like twin brothers, will go hand in hand to practise"doing things with eco-translations".
