摘　　要：The onset of the Tang Dynasty and its strengthening over the following centuries contributed greatly to the Han people's impressive ability to exchange with other ethnic groups along China's frontier as well as with surrounding nations.Such exchanges indeed made their way into the history books.A remarkable feat was the shortcut to India that connected Tubo with Nepal via Mangyu(modern-day Gyirong County of the Tibet Autonomous Region),which is why it became known as the Ancient Road of Gyirong.
