摘　　要：裴文中先生是我国著名的地质学家、古生物学家、史前考古学家、博物馆学家,不仅在旧石器考古学、第四纪哺乳动物学和生物地层学等科学领域取得了丰硕的学术成就,而且在中国现代博物馆事业上功勋卓著。他精心培养后学,为我国地质古生物和古人类事业以及博物馆事业的发展铸就了坚实的人才基础。他留下了丰厚宝贵的精神财富,让后人取之不尽、用之不竭。Mr.Pei Wenzhong is a famous geologist,paleontologist,prehistoric archaeologist and museologist in China.He had not only made great academic achievements in paleolithic archaeology,Quaternary mammalogy and biostratigraphy,but also made great contributions to the cause of modern museums in China.He had cultivated a lot of students earnestly,built a solid talent foundation for the development of China s geology,paleontology,paleoanthropology and museology.He had left a rich,valuable and inexhaustible spiritual wealth for the future generations.
