The present study aims to develop a quantitative measure for common prosperity by constructing a coupling coordination degree model based on China’s provincial data from 2010 to 2019;in addition,it aims to examine the influence of inclusive finance on common prosperity,as well as the relationship between them. The results revealed that inclusive finance was significantly positively correlated with common prosperity.Through inclusive growth, innovation effects, and entrepreneurial effects, inclusive finance was found to facilitate the reduction of income inequality, increase income, and harmonize the income and equality subsystem, thereby further promoting common prosperity. The analysis of regional heterogeneity revealed that the main contribution to common prosperity originated from the improvement of income in China’s eastern regions;however, income inequality was not considerably reduced. It is recommended that corresponding parties strengthen inclusive finance capabilities by coordinating income increases with inequality elimination measures,as well as expand the role and augment the development of inclusive finance in corresponding measures.
