论引文校核的重要性——以林语堂《苏东坡传》张振玉译本变化为视角

摘　　要：林语堂《苏东坡传》是在海内外影响深远的人物传记。国内流行的林语堂《苏东坡传》的两个译本(宋碧云本、张振玉本),张振玉本后出,且出版有多个版本。对照不同版本,可以看出译者,特别是编者在引文等方面的改进以及仍然存在的问题。其中既有作者本人疏漏的因素,也有译本的编校质量欠佳之故,这给作者和编辑都提出了警示:一方面作者应该对引文的真实可靠负责,即遵循权责对等原则下的文责自负;另一方面,编辑应该要求作者提供权威版引文原件,或者自己寻找权威版本,做好核查工作。The Gay Genius:The Life and Times of SU Tungpo,a biography written by LIN Yutang,has a far-reaching influence home and abroad.It has two popular translated Chinese versions,one by SONG Biyun and one by ZHANG Zhenyu.ZHANG Zhenyu’s translation is published later in several versions.A comparison of these versions reveals that great problems still exist,despite of certain improvement in citations made by translators and editors.This may be attributed to both the author’s negligence and poor editing and proofreading.It thus triggers a precautious warning to the author,the translator and the editor.On the one hand,the author should be totally responsible for citation authenticity and reliability,i.e.any composition consequence under the principle of equal rights and responsibilities.On the other hand,the editor should ask the author(translator)to provide an original and authoritative version,or personally check for the authoritative version.A double checking and verification is often obligatory.
