Animal husbandry economy is an important part of economic development in ethnic minority areas and the main support for the increase of herdsmen’s income and the development of pastoral areas.Based on the evaluation of animal husbandry economic development level in minority areas of Gansu Province from 2010 to 2020 by data envelopment analysis(DEA),this paper constructs a grey correlation analysis model to analyze the impact of various index factors in the process of animal husbandry production on animal husbandry economic development in minority areas of Gansu Province. The results show that the overall level of animal husbandry economic development in minority areas of Gansu Province is high, but there are differences. The number of herdsmen has the greatest impact on the economic development of minority areas in Gansu Province, followed by the total output of livestock products, while the number of livestock and the number of livestock on hand have the least impact on the animal husbandry economy.According to the results of grey correlation analysis and combined with the current situation of animal husbandry development in minority areas of Gansu Province, some suggestions to promote the economic development of animal husbandry in minority areas of Gansu Province were put forward.
