摘　　要：开放图书馆是美国成立较早并运行至今的大型在线数字图书馆,每天有10万人次以上通过互联网在线访问开放图书馆,查询阅读各种数字化图书资料。文章详细介绍了美国开放图书馆的起源、组织架构、所藏资料及提供的各种特色服务,希望对我国在线数字图书馆的建设提供借鉴。The Open Library is a large-scale online digital library that was established earlier in the United States and has been in operation today.More than 100,000 people visit the Open Library online through the Internet every day to inquire and read various digital books and materials.The article introduces in detail the origin,organizational structure,collection of materials and various characteristic services provided by the American open library,hoping to provide a reference for the construction of online digital libraries in China.
