Delving into the Hidden Principles,Connecting the Past and Present——A Brief Overview of Mr.Wu Fuxi's Academic Contributions

摘　　要：吴福熙先生的学术贡献主要体现在古代汉语与古代文化研究、词书研究与编纂、古籍整理等方面。所著《古代汉语》教材能沟通古今汉语体系,从汉语发展史的视角,揭示古代汉语语音、词汇、语法方面的特点及其演变规律;《文言语词工具书介绍》从我国种类繁多、编排方法和解释对象复杂的工具书中揀择出最重要的十八种,理类发凡,品评得失,涉及词书七十余种,是一部研究古代词书及词书学史的专著;《敦煌残卷古文尚书校注》发现了几组残卷连读的事实,进行缀合校注,并比较各种版本,揭示写本的文献价值,体现了敏锐的学术眼光;主持编写的《汉语成语词典》,站位前沿,创设规范,在成语词典史上占有重要地位;论述“以动用法”的两种内涵、阐释反切注音与格律诗构成规律、指出“见V”句中“见”有施加义、纠正古人姓氏混淆的情况,皆有的放矢,拨乱反正,具有很高的学术价值和实用价值。Mr.Wu Fuxi's academic contributions are mainly reflected in the research of ancient Chinese and culture,the research and compilation of dictionaries,the collation of ancient books,etc.His textbook Ancient Chinese can communicate the ancient and modern Chinese language system,revealing the characteristics and evolution rules in terms of phonology,vocabulary,and grammar of ancient Chinese language.In the book of Wen Yan Yu Ci Gong Ju Shu Jie Shao,he selected the 18 most important reference books from a variety with complicated layout and interpretation objects,carding categories,exploiting the principles,and judging the gains/loss of more than 70 dictionaries.It is a monograph on the study of the content and history of ancient dictionaries.Dun Huang Can Juan Gu Wen Shang Shu Jiao Zhu,in which Mr.Wu found the fact that some Can Juan are linked with each other,reveals the literary value of the manuscript by combining,annotating,and comparing all versions.The Chinese Idioms Dictionary,which was compiled by Mr.Wu,played a very important role in the history of idiom dictionaries due to its foresight and standard design.Mr.Wu discussed two connotations of"以动用法(Yidong Yongfa)",explained the formation rules of Fanqie phonetic notation and metrical poetries,pointed out that"见(Jian)"in sentence pattern"见(Jian)V"has the meaning of imposition,and clarified the confusion of姓(Xing)and氏(Shi).All of these had a definite purpose and rectified the deviation,bringing a high academic and practical value.
