摘　　要：阐述国际工程中履约保证的由来及法理依据,分析相关保险、保函及担保概念及差异,探索履约保函及履约担保在国际工程中的正确使用方法,避免应用误区,防止发生欺诈、胁迫、恶意索赔等风险事件。This paper expounds the origin and legal basis of performance security in international engineering,analyzes the relevant insurance,letter of guarantee and guarantee concept and difference comparison,explores the correct use of performance guarantee and performance bond in international engineering,in order to assist international contractors,avoid application errors,prevent the occurrence of fraud,coercion,malicious claims and other risk events.
