摘　　要：英国邮政起源于罗马不列颠时期,其后经历了数次变革。交通工具的改善是邮政得以更好发挥作用的重要依托。铁路对于提高邮政效率、扩大社会交往及促进信息社会的形成等起到了重要作用。工业革命时期经济贸易的发展大大增加了人们对信息和物品的需求,成为推动铁路邮政发展的深层力量。技术革新则为邮政的变革提供了现实的可能性。The British postal service originated in Roman British period and experienced several changes in the course of its subsequent development.The improvement of transportation means was an important support for postal service to play a better role.Railway played an important role in improving postal service efficiency,expanding social communication and promoting the formation of information society.During the industrial revolution,the development of economy and trade greatly increased people's demand for information and goods.It was a deep force to promote the development of railway postal service,and technological innovation provided a realistic possibility for the reform of postal service.
