摘　　要：朱休度一生可分为蹉跎科场、清冷学官、掌教书院、作宰山西、退居故里五个阶段。早年苦读经史,于乾隆十八年(1753)中举,此后六次应会试落第;乾隆三十一年(1766)遇特恩,以大挑二等得教谕一职,三十三年(1768)署安吉州学正,又以教谕衔管嵊县学训导事,三十七年(1772)被征入杭州书局,三十八年(1773)监理敷文书院,三十九年(1774)监理紫阳书院;乾隆四十六年(1781)开始掌教剡川书院,四十七年(1782)掌教金华丽正书院;乾隆五十四年(1789)任广灵县知县,在任七年,多善政,五十七年(1792)曾护理大同府理事同知,嘉庆元年引疾归里;归里后养病吟诗,将自己的诗作编为《小木子诗三刻》,嘉庆四年(1799)入志局纂辑郡志,嘉庆十七年(1812)去世。道光六年(1826),入祀山西名宦。Zhu Xiudu s life can be divided into five stages:fighting despite repeated setbacks in imperial examinations,supervising local education,taking charge of academies,assuming the magistrate of a county in Shanxi and retirement in hometown.He studied classics and history hard in his early years,and passed the provincial examination in 1753 but then six times failed in the metropolitan examination.In the enke held in 1766,he was ranked in the second class in datiao and nominated as an instructor.In 1768,he got a position as an education supervisor in Anji and then took charge of the discipline of Sheng county with the title of instructor.In 1722,Zhu Xiudu was recruited to work for Hangzhou Compilation Bureau and supervise Fuwen Academy in 1773 and Ziyang Academy in 1774.In 1781,he took charge of Shanchuan Academy and next year of Jinhua Lizheng Academy.Zhu Xiudu was appointed to be the magistrate of Guangling county in 1789.In the seven years of administration,he achieved excellent performance.In 1792,he once became the director of Datong government,but returned to his hometown due to illness in the first year of Jiaqing period.Retired in hometown,he rested for recuperation and wrote poems.He compiled his poems in Xiaomuzi Sanke.In 1799,Zhu Xiudu joined the Chorography and Chronicle Bureau to compile county annals and died in 1812.In 1826,he was enshrined as an outstanding official in Shanxi.
