摘　　要：《献给艾米莉的玫瑰》是威廉·福克纳(1897-1962年)创作的一部短篇小说。小说中,艾米莉的凝视超越了简单的、单向的"看",无论是将自己主动作为"看"的主体的颠覆性别的凝视,还是代表上流社会的权力压制的凝视,抑或是不动声色的反抗凝视,都表达了她对父权制社会的反抗和自我意识的觉醒。通过文本细读,并结合凝视理论,文章着重分析了故事中艾米莉的三次凝视,以理解她不同凝视背后的现实意义。A Rose for Emily is a short story written by William Faulkner(1897-1962).In the novel,Emily’s gaze goes beyond a simple and one-way "look".Whether it is a gender subversive gaze that takes her own initiative as the subject of "look", a gaze that represents the power suppression of the upper class society,or a silent resistance gaze,all express her resistance to the patriarchal society and the awakening of self-consciousness.This paper aims to analyze Emily’s three gaze in the story through close reading of the text and with the gaze theory,so as to understand the meaning behind her different gaze.
