摘　　要：今年恰逢《麦田里的守望者》出版70周年。塞林格在小说中隐约提出了一种破除物质执念和二元对立、回归自然和谐的“守望精神”。这种精神因蕴含大量禅宗、道家和印度教等东方哲理而受到西方学界的关注,但学术界对这一问题的专门分析和研究却明显不足。“守望精神”既是塞林格创作思想的核心,也是他用一生去实践与体悟的精神财富,更是东方哲学对西方社会的现代救赎。从禅宗、道.家和印度梵学诸东方智慧这一全新角度重释经典,不仅可以重估其中的救赎价值,还可以发现《麦田里的守望者》作为塞林格文学转折点的重要意义。This year coincides with the 70 th anniversary of the publication of The Catcher in the Rye. In the novel, J. D. Salinger vaguely proposed a kind of "watchman spirit" which can involve getting rid of material obsession and binary oppositions and returning to a state of natural harmony. The watchman spirit has attracted the attention of western academic circles because it appears to be inf luenced by Eastern philosophies such as Zen, Daoism and Hinduism, but there is insufficient focused research on this issue. "Watchman spirit" is not only the core of Salinger’s creative thought but also what he practiced all his life, as a modern redemption of western society through Eastern philosophy. Reinterpreting this classic from the perspective of Zen, Taoism and Hinduism reveals the significance of The Catcher in the Rye as a turning point of Salinger’s literary career.
