摘 要:贝克特一生创作发表了三十多个剧作,无论是人物形象塑造、语言的运用、舞台道具、还是剧作的传播媒介,其戏剧创作风格存在着一定的嬗变。从最初流浪汉式的滑稽人物,到梦幻似的幽灵人物;从人物的嬉笑打骂,到后期的沉默无言;舞台道具由繁到简,但在技术层面上由简到繁;从最初简单的舞台说明,到后期注重与各种技术及媒介的结合。贝克特戏剧以其嬗变的独特艺术风格展现了现代人存在的荒诞与孤独。Samuel Beckett created and published more than 30 plays.His drama’s characterization,use of language,stage props and media underwent a stylistic evolution across his lifetime.Over time,his plays changed from initially involving picaresque comic characters to featuring dreamlike ghost characters,from playful and ridiculous dialogues to the permeating silence in his late plays,from complex stage props to simple ones,yet from simple stage instructions to a combination of various technologies and media.Through this unique evolution in artistic-style,Beckett's dramatic corpus depicts the absurdity and loneliness of modern humanity.
