摘 要:军备近代化是晚清军事近代化的第一步,军备近代化肇始于购买洋枪洋炮。晚清军械广告是商业“求富”与政治军事“自强”交织的产物,通过军械代理洋行的中介作用,将军械贸易与晚清整军运动及民间团体对近代化军备的需求嫁接起来,从而将政治资源转化为经济效益。兹以《申报》军械广告为窗口,透过广告与代理洋行的媒介作用,管窥军械购买对晚清军事变革及民间团体之武备更新所产生的推动作用。The modernization of military equipment,starting from purchasing foreign guns,is the first step of military modernization in the late Qing Dynasty.Ordnance advertisement is the product of“seeking wealth in business and self-improvement”in politics and military,which combined the arms trade with the demands of the official army rearmament movement and the civil communities for modern weapons in the late Qing Dynasty through the intermediary role of the foreign arms agent,so as to transform the political resources into economic benefits.This paper,taking the ordnance advertisement in Shenbao as a pointcut,probes into the driving effect of ordnance purchase on the military revolution and the armament renewal of civil communities in late Qing Dynasty by the media role of advertisement and agency of foreign firms.
