They excavated 13 tombs in 5 graveyards, of which the Graveyard No.1 is rectangular and south-facing, consisting of enclosing walls, worship terrace, and grave mound, etc. A joint burial of two vaults within one grave was found under the grave mound, with the structure of rectangular vertical earthen pit tombs with the brick chamber and ramp passage. Excavated artifacts include porcelain, bronzeware, and epitaph. The majority is white-glazed porcelains, followed by blue and white porcelains, and some blue-glazed and green-glazed porcelains. According to the epitaph inscriptions, the tomb occupants are the Defender(Zhenguo) General of Chu-Zhu Jichen and his wife-Mrs. Pan. They were respectively buried in the seventh year of the Chenghua Era(1471) and the eighth year of the Tianshun Era( 1464). The identity of the tomb occupants and their burial dates are clear, providing valuable materials for studies of the funeral system of the Ming Dynasty, the dating of tombs, and the history of the ceramics in the early and mid-Ming Dynasty.
