Preliminary Report on the Excavation of the Liao-Dynasty Tomb at the Miaopu Cemetery in Liaoyang,2015

摘　　要：2015年,辽宁省文物考古研究所在辽宁省辽阳市苗圃墓地发掘了一座辽代墓葬。墓葬为竖穴石椁墓,随葬灰陶盘口壶、白瓷粉盒、金银饰品、羊距骨等遗物。初步判断该墓葬为辽代早期契丹族墓葬,具体年代范围可能在公元10世纪40、50年代。本墓葬的发掘,补充并增加了辽东地区辽代早期墓葬的基础研究资料,印证了辽代统治者积极经营辽东地区的政治方略。出土器物具有一些不同以往的新特点,对辽代早期陶瓷器、金银器等文物的研究具有较重要参考价值。The Liaoning Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology excavated a Liao-Dynasty tomb at the Miaopu cemetery in Liaoyang City in 2015.The tomb has a vertical shaft pit and a stone guo outer coffin.The burial objects include gray pottery dish-mouthed kettle,white porcelain cosmetic box,gold and silver ornaments,sheep talus bone,and so forth.Our preliminary assessment suggests that the tomb belonged to an early Liao-Dynasty elite in the 40-50s of the 10th century AD.The excavation of this tomb provides supplementary material to the study of early Liao-Dynasty tombs in eastern Liao region.It confirms the Liao-Dynasty rulers’political strategy of an active management of the eastern Liao region.The unearthed burial objects possess some new characteristics that were not seen before and therefore hold great reference values to the study of early Liao Dynasty porcelain,gold and silver objects,and so forth.
