完形填空效度实证比较研究——以全国大学生英语竞赛(C类)为例

摘　　要：完形填空作为英语语言能力测试的常用题型,长期以来一直在大学英语教学和考试中广泛使用。研究以全国大学生英语竞赛(NECCS)C类为例,采用实证研究方法,对两种不同的完形填空形式——多项选择完形填空和开放式完形填空进行了比较研究。结果表明,开放式完形填空具有较高的难度和较强的区分度;在NECCS(C类)中,多项选择完形填空仍能更有效地检验学习者的词汇和语法能力,而开放式完形填空则仍能更好地反映学生的阅读理解能力;开放式完形填空比多项选择完形填空具有更高的同时效度。The cloze test,as a common question type in English language proficiency test,has been widely used in college English teaching and examination for a long time.Taking the National College English competition(NECCS,Level C)as an example,this study made a comparative study of two different cloze tests,multiple-choice cloze and open cloze.The results showed that the open cloze test was more difficult and had strong discrimination.In NECCS(Level C),the multiple-choice cloze could still test learners’vocabulary and grammar proficiency more effectively,while open cloze could still better reflect students’reading comprehension ability and the open cloze test had higher concurrent validity than multiple-choice cloze test.
