摘　　要：在建筑领域,空间不足往往造就了一批有创造性的解决方案,这其中就包括Xaveer de Geyter Architects建筑师事务所设计的、位于比利时根特港口区的梅洛佩学校。2004年以来,根特市一直在坚持不懈地对其历史悠久的市中心东北部的旧船厂Oude Dokken进行改造,将其打造成一个集住宅、办公和零售空间为一体的充满活力的新街区。Lack of space has often sparked creative solutions in architecture-including the Melopee School by Xaveer de Geyter Architects in the port of Ghent.Since 2004,the city of Ghent has been working to transform its Oude Dokken,an old dockyard northeast of the historic city centre,into a vibrant new quarter with housing,offices,and retail spaces.Instead of taking a"tabula rasa"approach,OMA's masterplan includes adaptive reuse of some of the existing industrial halls.
