摘　　要：安东尼·伯吉斯的小说《发条橙》采用非传统主角、跨文体叙事框架、高度异化的语言和“替换世界”等后现代叙事策略探讨了人类自由选择的困境这一主题。《发条橙》的主角阿历克斯颠覆了传统价值观下的英雄形象;在小说形式上,伯吉斯将小说框在协奏曲的工整形式中,并在虚构的纳查语建立的“词的世界”弱化制约主角自由选择的外部因素,让主角的自由选择绝对化。伯吉斯后现代叙事策略服务了主题,同时也拉开了与现实的距离,避免作品陷入伦理误读的可能。Anthony Burgess′s A Clockwork Orange employs postmodernist narrative devices such as an nontraditional protagonist,cross-genre framing,highly alienated language and the alternative world to serve his thematic exploration of humans′dilemma of the freedom of choice.His protagonist Alex defies the values of a traditional hero.Besides,Burgess framed his narrative in the neat form of a concerto and invented the Nadsat upon which he built the“world of the word”,eliminating the normal constraints of freedom of choice in the real world to dramatize the dilemma Alex plunges into,and serving Burgess′s intention of the writing while distancing the fictional world from the real one to avoid possible ethical misinterpretations from his readers.
