当代叙事文本中时间词语的篇章功能--以《蛙》为例

摘　　要：叙事文本中,时间对把握情节发展和理清叙事脉络有重要作用。基于莫言小说《蛙》自建小型封闭语料库,以汉语篇章理论为框架,运用话语分析方法,分析时间词语在叙事文本中时间推进系统的形式和功能,旨在探索时间词语对构建语篇的作用。研究发现,时间词语为篇章引入新的参照时间,触发时间推进或回归;时间词语作状语位于句首时能标记情节节点,实现情节转换,而韵律独立的时间词语还能标记事件进程。另外,时间词语能直接引入插叙部分,衬托故事主线,完成前背景信息的切换。时间词语能构建时间框架并随着事件进展进行转换与解释。时间词语篇章功能研究有助于解释句法、语义和篇章的互动,也有助于系统建构篇章的时间组织机制和动态的时间系统。In narratives,time plays an important role in unfolding the development of the plot and clarifying the narrative context.Researches and investigations from the perspective of syntax have been done in analyzing the definition,classification and pragmatic use of time expressions.The research from the textual level is also involved,but generally speaking,it is not in-depth and systematic,which needs further exploration.Based on the self-built small closed corpus of Mo Yan’s novel Frog,this paper analyzed the form and function of time expressions in the temporal progression system with method of discourse analysis,aiming to explore their role in the formation of discourse level and discourse construction under the framework of Chinese discourse grammar.It is found that time expressions introduce new reference time for the discourse,triggering time progression or regression.When they position clause-initially as time words being adverbials,they mark a plot ending and a new transition;while the prosody-independent ones can also mark the process of the event.In addition,they can directly introduce interposed narration,setting off the main line of the story,and switch from the foreground to background information.The study of the function of time expressions can help to explain the interaction of syntax,semantics and discourse,and construct the mechanism of time organization and dynamic temporal system.
