摘　　要：本文根据亨利·詹姆斯"小说与绘画同道"的观点,运用空间叙事理论,对其国际主题小说《黛西·米勒》的空间叙事形式进行探讨。研究发现詹姆斯在小说创作中借鉴了绘画艺术中的空间概念,他以地志空间画意书写为媒介建构文本描绘空间、以地志空间文化因子驱动的情节设计建构文本纪事结构空间、以路径意象为认知媒介建构文本意义模式隐喻空间。詹姆斯让被视为时间艺术、以文字为媒介的小说体现出与绘画类似的空间视觉效果,他的这一创新性尝试为现代小说创作奠定了基础。In the light of Henry James’ s “fiction having the same way with painting”,this paper will probe into the spatial narrative form of Daisy Miller which is one of James’ s famous international theme novels by applying a theory of spatial narrative.The study finds that James borrows the concept of space in the art of painting as a strategy of novel narration,constructs the textual descriptive space by a picturesque rendering of the topographical space as the medium,the textual chronotopic-structure space by a plot progression driven by the cultural factors of the topographical spaces and the metaphoric space of textual meaning patterns by a path imagery as a cognitive medium in his novel writing.James make the novels that are regarded as time art and text as the medium reflect the spatial visual effect similar to painting.James’ s innovative attempt lays foundation for modern novel creation.
