摘 要:Facing crises of mixed variety(Wheeler,2020),taxonomy is evolving.Having performed the task of discovering, delimiting, and identifying diverse species on Earth for a long time, which becomes particularly urgent in light of rapid species extinctions currently(Barnosky et al.,2011),it has strived for integrating broad biological evidence such as morphological, molecular, behavioral, and biogeographic perspectives to be integrative taxonomy(Dayrat,2005;Will et al.,2005).With an integrative approach, ideally, the primary“morphospecies”in the context of traditional morphological taxonomy, which takes most credits for available encyclopedia of life, would be retested by other lines of evidence and then become the widely corroborated“species”.In other words, although being imperfect and subjective to some extent, morphospecies are generally posited as a starting point by integrative taxonomy.
