摘　　要：胖大海是我国重要的进口南药之一,是梧桐科苹婆属植物胖大海Sterculia lychnophora Hance的种子,具有清热润肺、利咽、清肠通便的传统功效。现代药理研究表明,胖大海具有抗炎、通便、镇痛抑菌、免疫调节等作用,对治疗慢性咽炎具有良好的临床疗效,有着很好的市场前景,关于胖大海的开发与应用也很广泛。对胖大海的本草考证、基原植物、国内外应用等方面进行了总结。Sterculiae Lychnophorae Semen,the seed of Sterculia lychnophora Hance in family Sterculiaceae,is one of important imported southern medicines,possessing the effects of clearing heat,moistening lung,relieving sore throat,and relaxing bowels.As revealed by modern pharmacological research,Sterculiae Lychnophorae Semen is effective in inhibiting inflammation,relaxing bowels,easing pain,resisting bacteria,and regulating immunity,which enables it to effectively relieve chronic pharyngitis and embrace a promising market prospect.Considering its wide development and application,this article conducted the textual research and summarized the origin of Sterculiae Lychnophorae Semen and its application both in China and abroad.
