News as a Commodity: A News Paradigm of Journalism with Chinese Characteristics

摘  要:作为宣传的新闻、作为专业的新闻、作为商品的新闻和作为交往的新闻共同构成了中国特色社会主义新闻学话语体系。脱胎于鸦片战争之后的英文商业报纸,国内三次"新闻商品性"学术论争和信息概念的引入,共同促成了我国相同的认知,即"信息正在成为一种商品"。新闻作为商品的直接话语表达主要存在于学界,官方的表达则相对隐晦。其实践有两个突出表现:一是商业广告的发布,二是为适应市场的需求而创办各种各样的媒体,形成多层次、多品种、多类型的新闻供应市场。"两权分离、授权经营"模式,事业单位转企改制,及相关政策的出台也在一定程度上保障了新闻作为商品理念的产业化运作之路,彰显了中国特色社会主义新闻学的新闻作为商品的主要特征:经济性、自主性与竞争性。News as propaganda, news as profession, news as commodities and news as communication together constitute the discourse system of socialist journalism with Chinese characteristics.The English-language business newspapers born after the Opium War, the three domestic “news-commodity” academic debates and the introduction of the concept of information have jointly contributed to the same recognition in China that “information is becoming a commodity.”The direct discourse expression of news as a commodity mainly exists in the academic circles while the official expression is relatively obscure. Its practice has two outstanding manifestations: one is the release of commercial advertisements, and the other is the establishment of various media to meet the needs of the market, forming a multi-level, multi-variety, and multi-type news supply market. The model of “separation of two powers and authorized operation”, the transformation of public institutions into enterprises, and the introduction of related policies have also ensured to a certain extent the road to the industrialization of news as a commodity concept, which demonstrates the journalistic deeds of socialist journalism with Chinese characteristics.The main characteristics of commodities are economy, autonomy and competitiveness.
