摘　　要：教育部于2020年8月底颁布《高等学校命名暂行办法》,首次对我国高等学校使用英文译名提出了规范意见。上述文件出台之前,我国高校的英译颇随意,动辄将"学院"拔高为"大学",恣意增减某些关键字眼,或音译某些重要字段。从实际情况来看,《高等学校命名暂行办法》中有关译名规范的意见还可进一步细化与完善。The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China issued an interim regulation on the naming of higher education institutions in August 2020,in which some rules on English naming of higher education institutions in China were first introduced.Before it was issued,the absence of translation guidelines from the authority gave rise to a lot of unfaithful translations.Deviations were mainly found in subjective addition,omission,transliteration and the like.The present paper holds that those regulations are quite timely and useful,yet some of which should be further clarified or specified.
