摘　　要：运用马斯洛需要层次理论来解读《麦田里的守望者》主人公霍尔顿的成长困境产生的内因,得出结论:霍尔顿基本需要中的归属需要、自尊需要匮乏且得不到满足,进而导致成长性需要即自我实现需要无法得到满足。指出霍尔顿走出困境的方法:积极应对人生不同时期的匮乏性需要,坚持不懈寻找适合自己的成长途径。呼吁人们关注青少年成长过程中内在需要的满足。对解读青少年多样化成长具有一定参考意义。With Maslow’s need theory,this paper interprets the internal causes of Holden’s growth dilemma in The Catcher in the Rye and draws the conclusion that Holden’s basic needs like belongingness and self-esteem are deficient and unsatisfied,which lead to the failure of his growth need,that is,the need of self-realization.It points out that Holden’s way out of the dilemma is to actively deal with his deficiency needs in different periods of his life and persevere in looking for his own way of growth.It calls for people to pay attention to the fulfillment of adolescents’inner needs during their growth,which has a certain reference significance for the interpretation of adolescents’diversified growth.
