跨国主义视域下近代江苏海外移民探析

摘　　要：江苏近代海外移民类型多样,既有传统的劳工移民和职业型移民,也有来自社会中上层的知识型移民,其在近代江苏特殊的历史、地理和经济、社会现实推动下,构成近代中国海外移民浪潮中的重要一支。与广东、福建等近代移民大省相似,江苏地处东南沿海,对外开放较早,且人口压力较大,但江苏海外移民呈现出鲜明的自身特征:一是移民规模较小;二是移民类型多样,且知识型和职业型移民占比较高;三是移民在近代中国政治、文化和经济社会发展中的参与度更高。这些特征既缘于江苏自古以来重视文化和教育的传统,也是其在近代中国历史上所处政治、经济和文化的中心地位决定的。There were various types of overseas immigrants in modern Jiangsu,including both traditional labor immigrants and professional immigrants,as well as knowledge immigrants from the upper-middle class.Driven by the special historical,geographical,economic and social reality of modern Jiangsu,it constitutes an important branch of the overseas migration tide in modern China.Similar to Guangdong and Fujian provinces,Jiangsu is located in the southeast coast,opening to the outside world earlier,and the population pressure is bigger.However,the overseas immigrants of Jiangsu province present their own distinctive characteristics.First,the scale of migration is small.Second,the type of migration is diverse,and the proportion of knowledge and occupational immigrants is relatively high.Third,the degree of immigrants’participation in the political,cultural,economic and social development of modern China is higher.These characteristics are not only due to Jiangsu’s tradition of attaching importance to culture and education since ancient times,but also to its political,economic and cultural central position in modern Chinese history.
