论沈从文与五四文学革命的关系  

On the Relationship Between Shen Congwen and the May 4th Literary Revolution

摘　　要：沈从文与五四文学革命具有紧密的关系,他的人生道路、文学创作及文学思想等都受到五四文学革命的深刻影响。沈从文始终坚守五四原则及其精神,他由命运的被动服从走向生命的自主自为;他构筑“希腊人性神庙”,企图通过“工具重造”与“工具重用”而达到民族品德的重造;他批驳文学与商业资本和政治派别结缘等种种导致文学运动堕落的现象,鼓吹文学应有的真正的自由与合理的民主。五四文学革命成就了沈从文,沈从文也将五四文学革命精神发扬光大,为推动中国现代文学健康发展做出了巨大贡献。Shen Congwen has a close relationship with the May 4th Literary Revolution. His life experience, literary creation and literary thought were all deeply influenced by the May 4th Literary Revolution. Shen Congwen has always adhered to the principles and spirit of the May 4th Movement: he moved from passive obedience to self-reliance;he built a “Greek Temple of Human Nature”, attempting to rebuild national morality through “tool reconstruction” and “tool reuse”;he criticized the ties between literature and commercial capital and political factions that led to the degeneration of the literary movement,and advocated the true freedom and reasonable democracy that literature should have. The May 4th Literary Revolution inspired Shen Congwen, and Shen Congwen also carried forward the spirit of May 4th literature and made great contributions to the healthy development of modern Chinese literature.
