摘  要:探讨修订我国“专业图书馆”定义和概念的必要性以及建立和完善专业馆员培养制度的对策。采取历史文献及网络调研方法,首先考察以美国为主导的北美专业图书馆相关图书馆学情报学学院教育制度的历史演变、运行模式及未来趋势,然后调研和梳理我国相应现状和问题,最后通过中外比较,参考国际经验,提出对策。建议在保持现有专业图书馆体系发展的同时,修正、扩大“专业图书馆”定义,将法律图书馆、医学健康图书馆、公司商务图书馆、音乐图书馆等游离于现有构架之外的专业图书馆纳入体系,并依托图书馆学情报学学院,改革现有课程体系,构建专业馆员教育机制,培养兼具图书馆学情报学和领域学科知识的复合型专业人才,确保我国图书馆事业的全球持久竞争力。The article questions the narrow definition of“special libraries”in the theory and practice in Chinese library community.This concept was formed in the early days of the founding of the People s Republic of China in 1950s,reflecting the intention and drive of centralizing library resources and services to promote scientific and technological advancement at that time.In the official narrative,“special libraries”only refer to the libraries of the scientific and technological research institutes affiliated to the state ministries and commissions,while other types of libraries,such as law,finance and business,and music,etc.,are outside of this scope,that affects the latter s access to resources and recognition.The article proposes to revise the current orthodox but dated definition by including all types of libraries as long as with specialties in collections,clienteles,and services,for entire library community to achieve a more balanced growth.The article reviews the historical evolvement of special librarianship,mainly in US and Canada,and regards the model that contains theoretical conception,institutional education,assessment,and profession organizational efforts as a valuable example for China to follow.The article also advocates for a more comprehensive and versatile Chinese LIS curriculum to respond the demands from real world.
