当代西方史学理论中历史表现论题的阐释

摘　　要：20世纪70年代以来,历史表现是当代西方史学理论家探讨史学理论发展方向时阐释的论题。海登·怀特从叙事模式角度,弗兰克·安克斯密特从语言哲学角度同异并存地界定了历史表现的内涵与外延。他们的共识性前提假设是:语言与实在、文本与过去之间是表现关系(以“关于”作连接词),不是指称关系(以“是”作连接词)。历史表现的内涵,是研究者运用语言写作的文本。历史表现的外延,不仅包括专业史学文本,也包括文学文本;不仅包括语言文本,也包括能以语言进行诠释的艺术作品。怀特、安克斯密特的历史表现观念体现了相对主义历史认识原则。这一论题在国际史学理论界引起回响,对中国历史理论界的话语体系建设也有一定的现代价值。Historical representation has been the thesis which is interpreted by western narrativist philosophers of history who are thinking about the future developments of historiographical theory since the 1970 s.Hayden White defined the connotation and extension from the viewpoint of narrative modes,while Frank Ankersmit did it from linguistic philosophy.Their consistent presupposition is the relationship between language and reality,between text and past is representative,not referential.Historical representation is text which researchers write by means of language.It includes both professional historical texts and literary texts,both texts in language and artistic works which can be interpreted by language.Their ideas of historical representation display relativistic principle of historical knowing.This thesis has aroused responses from international historiographical theory academia and has certain modern values for the construction of discourse system is China.
