摘  要:智能互联产品作为物联网时代的产物,其“物”与“物”智能连接的特征,模糊了传统企业边界,助力企业实现指数级增长。本文对小米展开纵向案例研究,探讨小米如何通过发展智能互联产品,推动企业边界持续拓展的过程及其背后关键要素。研究发现:第一,智能互联产品不仅产生了物物“新型分工”属性,还有物物“智能连接”的新属性;第二,智能互联产品的“新型分工”属性进一步提高效率、降低成本,改变了企业边界范围;第三,智能互联产品的“智能连接”属性形成大规模、跨边界、高集成的连接,并进一步推动产品体系智能化,实现企业边界快速扩张与企业指数级增长。这一发现颠覆了基于产品与知识分工决定企业边界的传统理论。本研究结论将为企业通过智能互联产品重塑企业边界、实现物联网战略转型,提供启示与借鉴。Smart connected products are the new things of the Internet of Things era,and their smart connection between "things" and "things" blurs the boundaries of traditional enterprises and helps enterprises achieve exponential growth.This article uses Xiaomi as a case to conduct a longitude case study to explore how Xiaomi promotes the continuous expansion of enterprise boundaries through the development of smart connected products and the key elements behind it.The research finds that:First,smart connected products not only produce the "new division of labor" attribute of things,but also the new attribute of "smart connection" of things;Second,the "new division of labor" attribute of smart connected products further improves efficiency,reduces costs,and changes the boundaries of enterprises;Third,the "smart connection" attribute of smart connected products forms a large-scale,span-boundary,and highly integrated connection,and further promotes the intellectualization of the product system to achieve rapid expansion of enterprise boundaries and exponential growth of enterprises.This discovery overturned the theory that the division of labor based on traditional products and knowledge determines the boundaries of the firm.The conclusions of this study provide inspiration and reference for how companies can reshape enterprise boundaries and achieve strategic transformation of the Internet of Things through the development of smart connected products.
