摘　　要：扬子台地西缘(今昆明—西昌—成都间)奥陶系研究程度明显弱于台地内部,相关岩石地层单位命名方面的信息还存在不少模糊或不准确之处,在一定程度上造成其中一些单位名称在使用上的争论。通过追溯文献出处和沿革,本文澄清了研究区内涉及的28个奥陶纪岩石地层单位的命名信息,并参照现代地层命名规范,对它们的命名有效性进行重新评估,发现其中9个在命名上是无效的。同时认为,命名有效的19个岩石地层单位名称是今后研究区内奥陶纪地层学研究的重要基础。There are still uncertainties regarding the validity and hence the usage of the Ordovician lithostratigraphic units established on the western Yangtze Platform of South China(today’s southwestern Sichuan and central and northeastern Yunnan, SW China), partly due to the presence of much false or inaccurate information surrounding their nomenclature. In the present paper, the information on a total of 28 rock units in the region is reviewed and clarified, and based on modern rules of stratigraphic nomenclature, their nomenclatural validity is critically reassessed. The results show that 19 of them are nomenclaturally valid, forming the basis for the future Ordovician lithostratigraphic classification in the western Yangtze region.
