摘　　要：《风雨桐江》出版于1964年,相较于同时期的其他革命题材小说,《风雨桐江》在人物塑造、文学书写与情节设置等方面展现出了独特的通俗文学特质。小说塑造了才子佳人式的知识分子革命者形象;书写了男女之间的爱与性,尝试描绘出独立于意识形态话语的纯粹爱情;刻画了丰富立体的正反面人物形象,叙述了多方势力之间错综复杂的关系。在1960年代的政治语境中,《风雨桐江》在秉持革命立场的同时又兼具鲜明的通俗性,为革命题材小说的通俗化书写提供了一个具有特殊价值的样本。The Stormy Tong River,a revolutionary novel written by SimaWensen,was published in 1964.In comparison with other revolutionary novels published in the same period,The Stormy Tong River demonstrates more characteristics of popular literature in various aspects,including characterization,description and plot devices.The novel does not merely tell a traditional story about revolution.It portrays several well-educated revolutionaries who are similar to the gifted scholars and beautiful ladies in classic Chinese romances,and shows a different awareness and attitude to the remould of intellectuals.It also depicts and praises the great love among the characters,and manages to give a pure description of love beyond ideology in several parts of the novel.Besides,both the positive figures and the negative figures,especially the bandits,are vivid and multi-faceted in this novel.The writer also focuses on the complicated relationships among different forces,including the Communist Party of China,to make the story more exciting and legendary.In the political context of the 1960s,The Stormy Tong River is obviously popularized and still upholds its political stance.It offers an great example for the popularization of revolutionary novels.
