摘　　要：吴寄尘1912年担任大生驻沪事务所所长,一直到1935年去世,经历了大生企业的辉煌与沉沦,是大生企业中举足轻重的人物。作为张謇的重要助手,他对南通的实业发展起到了推动作用。吴寄尘与张謇私人关系密切,也得到了张謇家庭其他成员的信任。吴寄尘热心公益,倡导并主持在镇江建设绍宗国学藏书楼。Wu Jichen worked as the director of Shanghai Office of Dasheng Cotton Mills until his death in 1935.Staying with Dasheng Cotton Mills through its boom and bust,Wu was a significant figure in the company.As Chang Chien’s right-hand man,he played a positive role in the development of the industry in Nantong.With a close personal relationship with Chang,Wu was trusted by Chang and Chang’s family members.He was also civic-minded enough to take charge of building the Shaozong Library in Zhenjiang.
