《致用书院前集》的编纂刊刻及其经世致用思想

摘　　要：《致用书院前集》刊刻于清光绪二十二年(1896年),收录了郑世恭就任致用书院山长时期的优秀课艺。从课艺主题占比来看,彼时的致用书院治学偏重名物研究、礼乐研究和“微言大义”的研究;治学工具则依托小学。治史部分虽卷帙不多,但却集中反映了当时学子们的经世致用思想。他们针对内忧外患的国家形势,在为学态度、取士用士、兴业趋利、边疆防卫等方面提出了不同的见解。虽然注意到了西方的冲击,但囿于“尚古”风气的影响,他们所探求的方向还是依循中国固有之“道”,并未能深入反思制度的得失,而把注意力更多放在了任人得宜上。这时代的局限固不可逾越,但他们真诚的爱国之心亦值得当代人尊敬和效法。The Previous Collection of Zhiyong Academy was published in the 22nd year of Guangxu(1896) of the Qing Dynasty, which included the excellent compositions of Zheng Shigong during his tenure as the principal of Zhiyong Academy. In terms of the proportion of the subjects of these compositions, the academic research of Zhiyong Academy at that time focused on the study of objects’ names, rituals and music, and the study of "micro-words and great meanings" while the tools of scholarship relied on philology. Although there are not much articles studying in history, it is a concentrated reflection of the practical application thought. In response to the national situation of domestic trouble and foreign invasion,they put forward different views on attitudes to learning, the system of selecting and appointing talents, establishing industries and the frontier defense. They were aware of the impact of the west, however, due to the influence of the research atmosphere that thinks everything is the older the better, they still follow the direction of China’s inherent "Dao" without reflecting deeply on the system and focus more on the appointment of suitable officials. The limitations of the era cannot be surmounted, but their sincere patriotism deserves contemporary people’s respect and emulation.
