Flow start-up pressure is one of the factors affecting the development of low permeability reservoirs. The laboratory method used to measure flow start-up pressure is to use a constant flowback rate, but the experimental results show that the flow start-up pressure measured by this method is too high. To solve this problem, an improved flowback method with constant pressure difference was proposed. After dynamic filtration of cores with five different permeability by potassium water-based drilling fluid, single-phase flow and two-phase flow flowback experiments were carried out. It was found that cores with higher permeability had lower flow starting pressure. The ratio of stable pressure difference during the core flow displacement experiment was used to represent the permeability recovery value. It was found that the permeability recovery value achieved by the two-phase flowback experiment was larger than that achieved by the single-phase flowback experiment, and the existence of external filter cake did not affect the flow starting pressure and permeability recovery value. This method provides a new idea for reservoir damage laboratory evaluation.
