摘  要:唐朝为应对多变的外部环境,曾以皇帝个人名义与数个周边民族政权的首领建立“父子”“兄弟”等虚拟亲属关系,以此来界定两国的关系,通过与其他政权的君主共叙亲情来维持彼此间的和平局面。这种虚拟亲属关系的建立有中原历史传统和周边地区惯例两方面的依据。父子关系和兄弟关系均应用于唐朝与强邻之间。其中,父子关系代表双方高下有别,但相较君臣关系更为软性和灵活;兄弟关系则表示双方地位平等。这种虚拟亲属关系通过王言来建立、维持和调整,是唐朝对外政策的重要一环,同时也是唐朝册封体系的重要补充。虚拟亲属关系的建立使得唐朝能够以更灵活的方式处理与周边强邻间的关系,在多变的战略环境中争取到更大的自主权。In order to cope with the changing external environment,Tang Dynasty built virtual kinship between Tang's emperor and leaders of neighboring ethnic regimes,and used it to define the relationship and keep the peace by showing affection to the monarch of another regimes.The virtual kinship relationship was based on the historical tradition of Central Plains and the practice of surrounding areas.Both father-son relationship and brotherhood were used between the Tang dynasty and its powerful neighbors.The father-son relationship represented the difference in status between the two regimes,but this difference was more flexible and soft than the different status between monarch and minister.Brotherhood meant equal status.The virtual kinship established,maintained and adjusted by imperial edicts was an important part of foreign policy and important supplement to the conferment system.By establishing virtual kinship,Tang was able to deal with the relationship between strong neighbors and itself more flexibly and get more autonomy in the changing strategic environment.
