The statement that"the nation is composed of people, and people are all that matter to the nation"vividly points out that the tenet of the Party is the starting point and destination of all activities, and reflects the nature of a Marxist political party."Serving the people wholeheartedly",as a tenet of the Party,is a creative expression of the goal of"seeking the interests of the vast majority of the people"pursued by the classic Marxist writers during their struggle. This goal is rich in content, including"upholding our fundamental stance of siding with the people, ensuring the supremacy of the people's interests, ensuring the principal status of the people, maintaining close ties with the public, and willingly accepting public oversight".The Chinese communist members in the new era must always put the people first, always govern for them and by relying on them in all their governance work, always focus their efforts on their aspiration for a better life, always maintain mutual affinity with them, share the joys and sorrows with them, work together with them, and contribute to building a great modern socialist country in all respects and achieving all-round social progress.
