正名与用名--明代大礼议再思考

摘　　要：明代大礼议的两大核心问题是朱祐杬的“尊号与主祀”,其实质是确定父子、君臣等人伦关系的所谓“正名定分”的问题,分为正名与用名两个方面。正名即正“名”,正名必先理解、认识实;用名除了将名使用到恰当的场合之外,还包括将名所承载的地位、身份、权利等加以落实并将与名不符合的实加以改正。基于此,本文通过分析议礼过程中的四次正名行为和朱祐杬、蒋氏的用名行为,揭示了议礼是如何深刻地影响嘉靖朝的政治。Two core issues in the Grand Ritual Controversy center on Zhu Youyuan’s“Imperial title and temple sacrifice”.In essence,these two issues are concerning the issue of“rectification of names and settlement of resposibility”with a view to determining father-son and ruler-subject relations.There are two aspects to this issue:rectification of names and uses of names.Rectification of names means to correct names,thus taking it as preliminary to understand and recognize reality.Besides the designation of appripriate occasions,uses of names mean to implement the statuses,entitlements in practice and to rectify any reality which goes against names.Based on this,this paper aims to reveal how rituals play a profound role in the politics of Jiajing’s rulership by analyzing the four attempts to rectify and use names by Zhu Youyuan and Jiangshi in the Grand Ritual Controversy.
