摘　　要：在西班牙的许多地方,天然石材在被砖块和钢筋混凝土取代之前,一直是当地建筑传统的主要元素。在巴利阿里群岛上,情况也是如此。对于位于马洛卡岛的帕尔马北郊的8个社会福利住房单元,岛上的公共住房开发商Instituto Balear de la Vivienda(IBAVI)再次使用了传统的建筑材料。墙体和承重柱,还有一层上方的拱形天花板,均由天然石材组成。建筑工地位于这座岛内首府城市的市政区域,而这些淡米红色的砂岩是在距离工地约18km处开采出来的。In many parts of Spain,natural stone was a major element of regional building traditions,until stone was replaced by brick and reinforced concrete.This is also the case on the Balearic islands.For the eight social housing units located on the northern outskirts of Palma de Mallorca,the public housing developer of the islands,the Instituto Balear de la Vivienda(IBAVI)used the traditional building material once again.Walls and load-bearing columns consist of natural stone,as well as the vaulted ceilings above the ground floor.
