陈天尺小说的创作特点及时代价值探析

摘　　要：陈天尺是清末民初福建著名文人,有自著小说九部,译著小说一部。他的小说真实反映了清末民初多元复杂、内忧外患的社会环境。他年少游学英国,青年回国从政,中年弃政行医,丰富的人生经历使他的小说视野开阔,内涵丰富;传统与现代交织的社会背景,使他的小说带有强烈的问题意识。其小说体现了对传统观念的揄扬和对现代价值的融入,呈现出传统与现代结合、保守与开放交融的时代思想特质。陈天尺的小说在同时代作家作品中具有鲜明的特性,既表现了艰难的人生困境和复杂的社会问题,又塑造了独特的人物形象,呈现了国家的商业发展状况。Chen Tianchi is a famous literati in Fujian in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,who wrote nine novels of his own and one of his novels in translation.His novels truly reflect the pluralistic and complex social environment of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,with internal and external troubles.He traveled to England at a young age,returned to China to engage in politics,abandoned politics in middle age to practice medicine,and his rich life experience made his novels broad in vision and rich in connotation;the intertwined social background of tradition and modernity made his novels have a strong sense of problems.The theme of Chen Tianchi’s novels embodies the praise of traditional concepts and the integration of modern values.It has the characteristics of the times of the combination of tradition and modernity and the integration of conservatism and openness.Chen Tianchi’s novels have distinctive characteristics in the works of contemporary writers.They not only show the life’s difficulties and complex social problems,but also show the unique regional culture and personality charm,show the commercial development of the country.
