摘　　要：This study investigates students’attitudes towards classroom code-switching(CS)between Chinese and English,and how such attitudes are influenced by learning motivation and language anxiety,the two focal variables of the present study.A total of 550 students from a university in northwest China took part in an online survey.The results of quantitative analyses suggest a division of attitudes towards CS,acknowledging its usefulness but dismissing its symbolic value.Such attitudes can be predicted based on the focal learner characteristics.The implications of the findings are discussed vis-à-vis the social psychology of CS and an optimal use of CS to assist language learning and teaching.本文研究大学生对课堂中英语码转换的态度,并探索学习动机和语言焦虑如何影响此态度。西北某大学550名学生填写了在线问卷。分析结果显示:学生对待课堂中英语码转换的态度较为复杂,他们虽然认可语码转换的有用性,但却不太认可在课堂内进行语码转换的老师的英语能力(学生们认为能力强的英语教师应该能够进行全英文教学);学习动机和语言焦虑可以显著预测此态度。本研究结果对语码转换的社会心理学研究和语言教学实践均有意义。
